Description

Christ Church in Staffordshire arranged a giant community advent calendar in local shops. With all the windows revealed by Christmas Eve, they held a guided walk through the town to see the displays, singing carols as they went. Many of the displays were made by school children, so it could be a great opportunity to work with your local schools to do something similar.

Rationale

The aim was to engage the community in a fun project, as well as a Christmas celebration. The Nativity was displayed in a simple way, creatively explaining the good news of Jesus birth.

Outcome

It encouraged relationships with different parts of the community.
