Description

Host an Easter service or event looking back at the good times in the past. Invite previous church attenders to join you, asking them to bring any old photos or stories they may have. Follow the service/event with light refreshments or a meal, and provide plenty of opportunities for people to talk and reminisce.

Rationale

Easter is about remembering Jesus suffering for all mankind, and hallowing his victory over sin and death. It is a helpful time to look back, reflect and celebrate the past.

Rebuild connections with people who used to be part of the church and have since left, foster relationships, making the church a more accessible place for them. You could host the event each Easter.

Outcome

Past relationships are kindled; bridges are built for future connections.
