Flesh and blood is a campaign by Kore and 'NHS Blood and Transplant' to encourage church members to consider giving blood and donating organs. See www.fleshandblood.org for free resources for your church and community.

More than 1,000 people die each year whilst waiting for a transplant, and every day 8,000 units of blood are needed to meet hospital demand. If churches saw this as part of their commitment to giving, we could make a huge difference to help save many lives.

John Lampard, a retired Methodist Minister, has been giving blood since he was 25. At 70 his blood is being used for neo-natal transfusion. He says, ‘Donating blood is sharing a part of your life with other people so they can have life. An hour spent donating blood is very little when you consider all the good that comes out of it.’
