Description

Organise a large-scale powder paint fight. Ask permission to use a school field or local green space, buy a number of boxes of powder paint and invite local young people to take part (wearing old clothes that will be ruined). Find a good local photographer who will take pictures of all of the fun (preferably for free).

Use the best pictures to form an exhibition at your church building, using the images to explain something of God’s love, or design.

Write a short article about the exhibition for the local paper, and invite the participants and their families to attend. Provide light refreshments.

Rationale

Combine fun, art, and a gospel message. Let people choose how much to explore at their own leisure. Taking a creative approach to the gospel may connect with people at a deeper level, than a written or verbal approach.

Outcome

Fun, art and faith explored.

Other requirements

Insurance
Stewards
Safeguarding
Health and Saftey
Risk assessment

Additional requirements: Permission from parents, land owners, explanation of the level of mess.
