Use the Celtic circle prayer in a prominent location. This could be in a local pub or coffee shop. Provide printed cards for people to select and customise the prayer for the group you are working with.

People use a circle to define what they want close to them (in the circle) and what they want far away from them. Alternatively use it on a blackboard on the street, or give it out on cards, and talk with people about it.

This is a simple way of introducing prayer to people, emphasising that God is willing to hear their prayers and able to intervene in their lives.

Faith sharing often starts from the premise that everyone has a problem and that they need to know it.
While I understand this idea and terminology (we all have or have had a broken relationship with God), I would prefer to start with the ideas of people’s worth, value and being ‘made in God’s image-ness.’ I want people to understand that while our relationship with God is damaged, his attitude towards us is positive. I want to show that people are known and deeply loved deeply by God, so much so, that he would give His very best for them.

People were comforted and engaged with this form of prayer in a creative way. It made them think, challenged their view of who God is and what they mean to him.
