Description

An evening is setup at the local church, or in homes. Non Christian friends are invited to come along and discuss 'Hot Potatoes'; those topics that people find most the most challenging or their biggest objections to the Christian faith. This is combined with a simple meal involving ' Hot Jacket Potatoes' (to create a link).

Rationale

To provide a non-threatening opportunity for discussion. An early stage in sharing faith is engaging with people's current belief systems, assumptions and life experiences. These often create barriers to dialogue. This evening is an opportunity to examine some of those barriers, and provide a context for healthy communication.

Outcome

Good conversations were had. Friends engaged with the questions on their journey to faith. This is often run as a stage before a 'Discovering Christianity ' or 'Christianity Explored ' course.
